Those fixed side steps need to be replaced by proper rock sliders on day 1 and a winch added. Nix the mud flaps, headliner. black pack and cross-beam pretties, replace the A-frame with a winch, get rid of the locking lug nuts, and its a great starting point for an off-road build IMO.

Great pics from NorthGA!

Enjoy !!

As stated in the other thread: Get it. FAST. A lot of folks will scoop that up for an off-road build. That is a fantastic base and a fair price these days.

Interesting - very similar to my build although I have Tasman Blue with white roof.

I don't have the A frame or side steps and I have the lighter colored head liner, other than that it's the same spec.

Glad to see I was on the same page as JLR.

Personal opinion (they all are when it comes to colors): If I had to do it again, THAT is the right color for this generation Defender. I've seen them all in real life now and my next Defender will be Tasman Blue w/ white roof. Well done. 2nd pick the classic white w/ white steelies. Pangea STILL hasn't grown on me (start throwing tomatoes now....)

I agree, Tasman with white roof is going to be the one we all want in 30 years

Can someone PLEASE tell me why JLR doesn't allow upper trims to pick lower trim colors? I get that manufacturers want to charge more for "premium colors" and make them exclusive. But NOT allowing base colors with white roofs in the X-Dyanamic/X range always has me scratching my head. Is it a "Land Rover" thing across all the models these days? I'll admit that my love for the brand has been very focused (you can see by my signature).

I was all in for the Pangaea green until I saw it in real life parked next to a Tasman blue. I would rather have a green truck, but that green is just too subtle and pale. Even though the Tasman blue is described as "metallic" it's the closest to just a basic paint color in the lineup (apart from all white).

In some lights the Pangaea green looks fantastic, but in most others it's too washed out and it looks like it would be a nightmare to touch up any scratches

I was looking for the basic farmer green I remembered as a kid, and failing that the basic blue or cream that were the only other color options back in the day. Tasman is the closest to those throwback colors

I don't care what any of you say. Tasman is a great color, but Pangea with a white top is The Way.
