I have Pangea and love it. I think I would have ordered Tasman instead of Pangea but for one thing: I absolutely adore the Khaki interior, with its hints of green, and it would look bad on Tasman, if you’re even allowed to spec Tasman/Khaki. I didn’t want black interior, and I don’t care for any of the lighter options either, given the dirtiness I frequently bring to the inside of my off-roaders.

So in the end I went Pangea (not reluctantly at all) because of the interior.

But I still wish it was one of the non-metallic heirloom greens. They’re all wonderful but Grasmere Green is my favorite.

Funny enough, my son had a very similar build on his MY ‘21 Defender. Picked up off the lot back in February 2021. At that time, we were still able to get a discount below MSRP.

Check out the price difference. I know there’s quite a few goodies added to the 30th anniversary model but there’s a couple of options his car had, advanced off-road pack for instance, that the current one doesn’t.

BTW, this car is long gone sold to Carmax for a crazy price. Carmax pic when it was up for sale.

I called my dealer and they wanted 15,000 over for it. I mean at MSRP it was high for some badges but dam 90,000 for a defender with the 4 cylinder. I just can’t imagine who would pay that.

I’m in NJ. They said they wanted 15k over and the total would be $89,795. I’m on their list to get an order spot and they are only going to charge me sticker so I can’t complain too much. Another dealer that was closer to me wanted 7k just to order one.

Jarrodrex - Which dealer in NJ? I ordered my 110S from Princeton, and they swore they never charge over MSRP.

I'm debating whether to call them tomorrow (Monday) to ask if they have a 30th Anniversary coming. Mine should be here in July. The 30th Anniv has some things I didn't want (air suspension, sunroof, side steps). About $10K more than I will end up paying. But it's a nice spec and it's here now.

I'm a little surprised, though, that with all the off-roadiness of the 30th Anniversary edition they didn't throw in tow loops for the rear and front undershield - anyone would need to add those (or at least expose the front tow loop) for serious off roading.

The dealer is Cherry Hill Land Rover. It’s was only the anniversary edition that they wanted 15k over on. They are going to order me one at sticker once a build slot opens up(could be many months away) so they are still cool in my book. Land Rover Wilmington, DE said that there was going to be about 7k of “dealer extras” when ordering but they were up front about it which is way better than ordering one waiting 6+ months for it to come in then tell you they want 7k more. So I would still do business with them if their price was right.
