Yes, @ammonation - there's a button on the dash to do that. But you have to do it EACH time you restart the ignition. They want a "permanent" off. Many report problems where the Defender doesn't auto start after auto shutting off. This happened to me once. I had to do a power down/up and then got going. VERY disconcerting when in traffic. A permanent off that is being reported might not be surgically isolated to the auto off/on. It involves pulling a wire from the starter battery. Some fear other issues, those who have say they don't have them.
I don't have my new Disco yet, so I can't speak to it. From watching this video below I thought you could set up permanently for on/off on the Pivi. Check out @ 7:52
So I just test drove a Defender today for the first time, it was a used model but I wanted to feel the car first before ordering. It had the interactive display, and for me it's essential. It's really.. nice. I did also get a soft confirmation that for MY23 they will indeed have the interactive display for S trims and higher, so not too worried about it anymore. Also the center larger screen which I saw on a 2022 was super nice, also a no-brainer (IMO)
@ammonation - You may be in the incorrect forum. Most of these threads are re: the "2020 Defender." While generally PiviPro is reused across models, that option is not available for the Defender which most folks are discussing.

Yep aware of what forum I am in. Buy hey, thanks for the reminder.
Simply linked a video that has my suggestion for how may be accessed through Pivi.
@ammonation - My wife has the '22 Disco 5. No, you can't permanently disable "start/stop" - is just more annoying to get to it compared with the Defender.
I hate it on both vehicles with passion....in fact in ANY vehicle.
Just unplug the little black 🔌 plug that sits on top of the main battery terminal. Stop start is permanently disabled with no warning lights or error codes!

Where is the dang battery? I see terminals under the hood to use if a jump start is needed.
Fellas I already swapped the tft display for the digital one on my buddies defender. It took about 30 minutes and no programming was needed.
But I realize with everyone paying 60k and up most of you expect to get what you want and don’t do things yourself.
btw. I added the etorque vectoring rear differential and all terrain progress control and the advanced off road pack to my 2020 defender after it was delivered. (All with eBay parts)
And I added the factory winch by myself.
I also added the WiFi hotspot and fog lights and advanced controllable dynamics and adaptive cruise control. Yes those require a Bosch mastertech tool and a ccf editor. (All with eBay parts)
I get it, at this price point you should be able to get what you want. I understand.
peace everyone!
The guy who could give us all the good insight on how to mod our land rover is banned lol. Damn....
I wonder if you buy an interactive digital display on eBay for a vehicle that comes with an analog cluster if the vehicles computer system will allow the digital screen to run properly... Basically, are the analog vs digital clusters actually interchangeable, or are there additional functions / chips in the vehicles computer system that are required to make the digital display work, and only come from the factory with vehicles that originally had the digital display spec'd in...
