Returning from the Destination Defender event in Texas. I made note of the tires being used on the manufacturer vehicles on the off road course.
Those are 34" LT E rated Duratracs. Not going to fit without a substantial lift and trim. OEM sizes are 32" XL rated Duratracs. Two very different tires.
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss 275/55R20 on a 2023.5 V8. No noted rubbing or other issues. I just took these to Joshua Tree this weekend, up Berdoo trail starting at the south end and coming out of the western entrance of the park. They handle great off road and on road. Plenty of grip on rocks and control on deep sand. In fact, I was slightly surprised at how well they handle in both highway and offroad conditions and while they are slightly noisier than the standard Continental tires on the freeway, they are not horrible. Since I mounted the MT's on a second set of rims which get put on the car only when specifically intending to go offroading, the noise is not an issue for me for the few days at a time when they are on. But they would not be hard to live with running them full time.

I have the impression that in terms of sidewall running this set up is almost the same as running ATs on the 22 Wheels (275-45-22) as I sometimes see folks doing. Am I wrong?
Hi-beam stalk control lever. I have it also into my parking light switch so that I can use them in snow with yellow lens covers with the headlights off.
