No More Textile Seats?

No More Textile Seats?
I picked up my 2022 Defender 110 S P300 yesterday. My 2021 order was cancelled and converted to a 2022. I was disappointed to see that the textile/leather khaki seats that were confirmed in the build are no more. The 18” wheels and those textile seats were my main reasons for sticking with the S. Disappointing since I confirmed on the web builder and with the dealer that the seats were still textile and leather.

They had a problem with staining and wear on some fabric. Apparently it was so bad that stray raindrops would leave spots.
Not sure this is the exact reason but it seems to correlate.

Edit: There are mentions throughout the "2022 Defender orders taking place now" thread, but someone posted this which was listing differences between 21 and 22 models (summarizing something posted earlier in that large thread) that said "Core Cars (non X-Dynamic) now feature full leather seating surfaces".

My order lists the textile / leather combo as well, but I'm expecting full leather. I'm not sure where I saw it now (maybe somewhere on here from a few months back?), but I'm pretty sure they made the change regardless of what's on the build sheet. For me it wasn't a sticking point either way so I haven't worried about what I end up with.

Huh... just looked at some images on Cargurus of new '22 S models... yep, all leather. Honestly, probably better for upkeep anyway. I treated my textile fabric parts based on reports from others of issues (and all is well)... but leather will eliminate the issue altogether until the supply chain gets worked out.

Yes I can confirm full leather on my 2022 90s and was happy to see it arrive that way. I had expected (and ordered) the 12 way seats with the mix of fabric and leather which to be honest looks very cool but again I do appreciate the full leather. I already had my son drip ice cream cone on it the first week. Unlike my Q5 there are perforations on the leather seats in this Defender so crumbs and what not can get in those, I suspect that I might need to get serious about cleaning those out eventually, with what I don't know, maybe a handheld vac will do and a toothpick to loosen up the crumbs.
