Default Noise Speaker

Ive had my 2024 90 about 1 week now. The front speakers seem to have a weird almost feedback sound at certain times when listening to talk radio or phone calls. Haven’t heard it at all while playing music. Anyone else experience this and did you find a fix?

I'm assuming that's the Active Noise Canceling that you are hearing. It uses the speakers to emit a noise that is supposed to cancel out some of the road noise you hear while driving. There isn't an SOP to deactivate the "feature". I think some of the folks that have GAP tools have tried shutting it off without success either.

The problem has nothing to do with active noise

There is another reason but I don't know it

Has anyone encountered this problem?

Thank you

try a different phone and see if the problems follow or is it something with your current phone.

No, the problem is not with the mobile phone, because it appears on the radio during discussions and dialogues

It does not appear in songs and music

You may have a radio; amp issue or interference issue. I get no odd sounds.. probably a dealer visit to sort.

BTW Defenders don't -- as far as I know -- have active noise cancellation. MY 2020 X definitely does not and I've not seen it mentioned in any product info over the past few years. It's not listed in any features/functionality on the LR site

(May be getting confused w/ Range Rovers, Range Rover Sports, Velarrrrrrs, yes ... )

I feel the problem is with the speaker covers
Because when I press it with my hand, the problem decreases

This may help. It decreased my grill noise by 90% but it’s not perfect. I’m going to take a second stab at it. One thing I’ve noticed is if my leg is touching the door and pushing against the arm rest it makes the noise worse. Seems like it is prone to flex.

I had a couple of speakers that had to be replaced. Very noticeable on talk radio. Fixed under warranty.
