OEM 18in steel wheel on P400 - possible with only wheel spacers?
Apologize first if this topic has been brought up before - I was able to find a confirmation based on my research over the internet so I'm hoping I can find an answer on the forum
I have a P400 Defender 90 (stock comes with 20 in rims so brake rotor should be the 350 mm size, fixed caliper in the front and floating in the rear).
I really wanted 18 in wheels, specifically the stock 18 in steel wheel (eventually wanted to ride 35s with 18 in). I'm already running with 30 mm wheel spacers at all four wheels and wondering if that's enough to clear all brakes & suspension components for the 18in OEM steel wheel? Based on my research, most people need to do the rear caliper conversion, but I wasn't sure if they have spacer added already or not.

P400 D110 here (2022.). Stock 20” wheels. I also have a set of offroad wheels and tires, using 18” steel OEMs and stock OEM size tires (255/70-18s). I replaced the rear calipers with the recommended LR set, then still had to grind a decent amount off, then still need to run 25mms in back. I believe if you use 18” alloys from Lucky 8 you don’t need to grind the calipers or use spacers.

The spacers would need to be about 4-6" though. Something along these lines should render irrelevant, the large front and rear calipers . Probably some fender and wheel liner mods needed too.

So what is the reason LR makes it so hard to put desirable 18” wheels on an off-road capable suv? I don’t own one yet - Disco owner here -, but it seems like LR kinda messed up in that department. No? For example, as far as I know the new Lexus GX550 Overland will have 18” wheels, and that suv will tip the scales somewhere in the ballpark of the Defender I would guess. So how come Lexus can do it but not LR?
