Thought I had followed up on this one but I guess I didn't.

It was definitely that the fixed panel came loose. There is a bolt that adheres it to the door. This bolt I guess has a plastic anchor and thats what breaks. I unfortunately had to pay out of pocket for this one. They did fix it and then 3 months later, they had to fix it again (at least it was convered under parts warranty this time). Hopefully no more issues or whistling.

well its certainly not aerodynamic so yea you're gonna hear noise, why I don't put anything on the top or side unless its needed for a trip
