Do you find you use the side steps?

The installation was straight forward, everything is provided in the kit (cutting guides, wires and bolts), they even provide you with switch that bolts on below the ambient light switch on the defender
as for why use a switch instead of wiring it into the high beam, I just didn't wanna tinker with the electrics, I'm pretty sure if I took it to an electrician it will be easy, also I didn't wanna give a reason for the dealership to void my warranty once I take the defender for service.
A video has been uploaded by them to show you how to install the lights

I actually use them alot, if I go off-roading and the whole car is muddy and filthy I use them to get in and out of the car, my wife uses them too and I guess you can use them as rock sliders (for now).

For installation of the lazer lamps on the defender it’s pretty straightforward

This is the layout of the installation

The below is the 12V relay that bolts on and the above is the positive and negative charge straight from the batteries where the lights wires will go.

This is the provided switch, you simply pop of the plastic bit and install the switch.

Default headlight guards

Never had a fault, never broke down on me, everything just worked, but there are 2 disappointments.

Rattles are increasing daily, doors, seats, down, up, pillers and every where.

Modding the defender is just difficult and expensive, the aftermarket parts and accessories are just unjustifiably crazy expensive, I know with time when the hype dies down the prices will go down but im jealous at how the market adopted quickly to the ford bronco, with accessories being sold even when the car wasn't released.

My defender is a P400 SE eiger grey and below are my current mods.
  1. Evo Corse 18 inch (without brake conversion)
  2. Cooper at3 275/65/18
  3. lazer lamps grille kit
  4. headlight guards
  5. Extended wheel arch
  6. Interior lights
  7. rubber floor mats
and many small changes in the interior.

previous mods:
  1. redbourne alston 20 inch wheels
  2. bfgoodrich ko2 275/55/20
  3. side box
  4. side ladder
  5. oem roof rack
  6. oem spare tire cover
Feel free to ask me anything.

also here is a sneak peak on the new ineos grenadier, will put them head to head.

Please, can you share more detail on the headlight guards you used. Thanks.

as requested, regarding these headlight guards these come with a strong 3M double tape, wipe the headlight black border with alcohol wipes and stick them on.

they sit nicely on the headlight border.
