Option: Retractable Side Step
What is your experience with this retractable side step on the Defender 110?
I don't do much rock crawling, but I do plan to take the Defender off-road in some quite rocky terrain. It doesn't look like these steps provide much support or act as rock sliders.
How easy are they to remove and put back on?
Are there any aftermarket options that work both as a slider and a retractable step?
OK, it looks like I can always order these later using part # VPLEDSS000, if I decide that I want them. I'd love to hear more about people's experiences with them or alternatives that you prefer.
In the meantime, I can search for aftermarket options and move forward with my order.

Install of the oem power running boards doesn’t seem to be much worse than the fixed ones, have to do some interior disassembly for wiring harnesses and then some coding. If anyone has the oem retractable steps they don’t want, I am looking to source a pair!
we have them on our 19 Range Rover Autobiography and really like them, looking to have the power steps on the defender too.
