Default Order a D110 and who would purchase again

Hey, new member here. I’m looking at ordering a 2024 D110 X Dynamic in Tasman Blue. I test drove one a couple months ago and absolutely loved it.. I was contemplating a GX550 but I really love the ride of the D110 and the air suspension. I haven’t test drove a GX550 but the looks of the Defender and the ride really have me leaning towards the LR.

I’d like to know the positive experiences people have had with their Defenders. I’m familiar with forums and the can be places where people post their gripes and complaints. I’d like to know how many people have had positive experiences and would purchase again. It doesn’t matter which model (D90, 110, 130).

Thanks and advice on ordering would be greatly appreciated.

If you're willing to look past the potential for issues and take the plunge it's a cool vehicle. You test drove it and it sounds like your mind is pretty much made up. I was there at one point too and nobody was going to keep me from buying one. I'd say just go for it. Nevermind whether I'd buy another, you do you my friend. Yea I suppose if I had money to burn and lived in a more off-road focused locale then I'd buy another as a break it out on the weekends type of vehicle.

I moved from Toyotas for the last 20ish years to my first LR and really love the car.

they have issues but won’t leave you stranded I feel. But the ride and the looks more than makes up for it.

I’m already wondering if the Gen 2 ND will be coming soon. I’m an LR convert at this point.

you get a lot of tech and features and comfort for the money if you’re willing to look past needs these vehicles require.

At the risk of jinxing myself, our 2021 P400 has been 100% reliable, is as excellent today as it was when we bought it, and we would absolutely buy another.

We have a 110 XS Edition with the D250 engine here in the UK, the only issues we’ve had in 30K miles were a dead headlight halo on the Premium LED headlights and the rear parking sensors took a brain fart and died, all sorted under warranty. We have recently placed an order for a new110 X Dynamic HSE again with the D250 as it’s got a great mix of torque and economy and regularly returns 38-40MPG

lol. I look at buying one as like a scratch-off ticket, yes there are in fact some winners.

The good thing is most people who dive into these things can usually afford to lose a little money.

Yes, my mind is pretty much made up. Lol! I absolutely love the truck! I’m going to test drive one more time before I place my order. It will be my DD and I don’t mind little things here and there. I mean, I’m coming from a 2021 Tesla Model Y, so I’m used to quality control issues and stupid things breaking. 😜

I have been a Toyota truck guy for 25 years and just bought a lightly used Defender. The dealer had to replace the nav unit under warranty because it wouldn't take new maps and a sway bar end link was a little loose. But, I really love it. Great around town, on the highway and offroad. The P300 motor is surprisingly peppy. The fit and finish is excellent and it is a great looking car. Happy so far!

3+ years with my 110. Would definitely purchase again. Best driving vehicle on multiple surfaces that I've ever owned. An amazing highway cruiser for family trips, and surefooted in all conditions. Only real issue I've had is with the fragile windshield. If you look through this forum, you'll see it's definitely a weak point. Mine was fine until I increased my highway miles. I've had numerous dings filled in the past couple years and now looking at my second replacement.
