2022 P300S 110 with OEM off-road tires, about 5,000 miles. I run my tires at the manual-recommended air pressures. I drive in "comfort" mode almost all of the time and see 16-20 in the city (depending on length of trip, warm-up cycle, amount of freeway). I did a 2,000 mile road trip and was 21-23 throughout. I don't drive aggressively, but I also don't drive conservatively/worry about mpg either.

Are you using premium fuel? My previous vehicle (2012 Acura MDX) was really sensitive to fuel. I always used the recommended premium, and my next-door neighbor with same Acura MDX model used 87. He always complained that he'd get 3-4 mpg less than me.

The P300 is awesome.

You certainly took the scenic route on that trip.

Tell me about it! Did about 1,600 miles up and down in Utah for a couple weeks and then we definitely took the scenic route to get to FL. Awesome road trip car!

Just past 8000 miles today. Live in the U.S., use either Premium 91 or 93 Octane Gas from Circle K, Sunoco, or Costco (Kirkland Signature). 3/4's of my Driving is Highway (Freeway/Rural above 45-50 MPH), rest is City (Suburbs). Back and Forth 2 1/2 Hr. Commute 2x a week on the Turnpike going 70+ MPH. Vehicle is Stock and Light Load set for Recommended Tire Pressure. 90% of the time, I'm the only one in the SUV, and don't carry much inside. Trip has never been reset. Since Temp's dropped last month, noticed 1 MPG loss from about 20 avg to about 19 avg. See Signature for Details.

Fuelly Calculated Current All-Time Avg MPG: 19.0 MPG
Fuelly Calculated Highest All-Time Avg MPG: 20.5 MPG
Instrument Cluster Current All-Time Avg MPG: 19.7 MPG
Instrument Cluster Highest All-Time Avg MPG: 20.7 MPG

Interesting...initially I thought why did MPG go down in colder air which should contain more O2, making combustion more efficient.
Then I thought, because the air is denser increasing drag thus lowering MPG.

Thanks for getting me to think about this. Still interesting, though.

as for Eco mode, I didn't realize that was a thing, I'll have to go and check. hard to imagine eco mode having that big of an impact on the highway, but you never know! cheers.
Just revisiting this, Eco mode makes a pretty significant difference. I've been testing it out a bit since then, nothing scientific, but I was able to get the computer to average as high as 25mpg on one trip in eco, and 22mpg on the way home in comfort. There could easily be other factors at play here, but it definitely seems to me that eco does result in better MPG's.

Beyond just the obvious throttle mapping change I think it probably also changes the engine tuning in some way. I've grown to like using the eco mode now, but it's annoying as @#$% that it swaps back to comfort on every ignition cycle.

Anyone know of anyway to have the eco mode option persist across starts? It's also annoying that it turns off the heated steering wheel/seats when you swap to eco, but if there was a way to persist the eco drive mode that wouldn't matter.

I've been wondering the same thing - to have eco be the default and allow me to switch to comfort if I want the heated seats on. Could not find a setting that would do that

Well actually you can turn the heated seats/steering wheel on while in eco mode... but the act of going into eco mode turns them off if they are already on. I'm surprised there isn't some trick to have it default to eco.

Guess i'll add my sub 20 mpg numbers for reference. P300 with KO2s, full front runner roof rack. I average 17MPG in a mix of highway and city. Long and short trips are all around 17. One very poor number I saw recently was while towing a 12ft utility trailer with two dirt bikes. I averaged 9 MPG over a couple hundred miles. This was in MS/FL so no real hills to speak of.
