Default P400 real world MPGs

Hi all. New owner of a P400 SE - just took delivery on Saturday in the upper midwest USA. I'm very curious to hear what other's are experiencing for city & highway driving as far as MPGs. I won't have any long distance trips coming up for a while, but based on my city driving the past two days it seems like I'm averaging about 12 mpg. Is this typical? Thanks!

it is worth saying where you live - gallons are different depending of which side of the pond you're on.

On mostly highway driving I am getting around 23 mpg. I don't drive in town much, but for a week of mixed back roads and off road, I got around 10-12 mpg. All of these are Freedom Gallons, not Monarchy Gallons.

Thanks - sorry about that. I'm in the upper midwest in the USA.

I'm just going to toss this out there. I have a P300 and have had it for about a week and I am averaging around 16mpg in the city. Most of my driving right now since I can not see clients is around my town. I drive my child to his daycare by getting on the highway for 5 miles but then come home on local roads which has a speed limit of 35. I also have been very gentle on the pedal as I am breaking in the engine.

this. Almost exactly. I got 19.5 on the highway and am seeing 10 around town in boston. I was getting 15 towing a D1 behind me on the highway too.

Driving mostly in the city (Dallas TX) I'm getting about 11MPG (about 2MPG below what I got in my V8 LR4)

I'm about 1.5 months in and have come to grips with the lower than expected gas mileage. My first long distance drive will be over the Christmas holiday (hopefully) so will be interesting to see what kind of mileage I get with 100% highway driving. I feel a bit guilty about the mileage I'm getting but love the vehicle anyway.

I'm bumping this thread to see if I can get more input on P300 and P400 real-world MPG. It seems like the P400 is coming in lower (sub 20) while the reviews I've seen/read on P300 are higher (low 20s all day long). The official MPG estimates put them as the same, so real-world results are interesting... I suspect the enjoyable performance of the 6-cylinder motivates people to drive with a heavy foot?

Thanks,
