I have commented on the P400 mileage before, but I took a trip last week to the Colorado mountains loaded down (roof rack and interior) without a trailer and achieved my best gas mileage yet. Apparently city driving and towing really impact mileage. For the week I averaged 16.1 MPG (US) Coming down from the mountains, my first tank of gas I achieved 20.5 MPG. These were the numbers I was hoping for when I purchased it. Unfortunately most of its life will be either in the city or pulling a trailer.

I’m averaging 20-22 mpg fully loaded highway without a trailer but just 10mpg with a trailer 😥

Granted I’ve only had it for a tank and a half but I’m averaging 19.4, all city thus far. I do switch it to eco if I’m driving more than 15 minutes, and I probably spend most of my time at 30~35 miles per hour.

I get the same even with the roof rack, 2 inch lift and ridge grappler tires.

My P300 us definitely less than expected but with roof rack, roof top tent and mud terrain tires, I suffer. I see an average of 12 mixed driving. Anything above 75, I'm in single digits. Even 70 seems to be pushing it. I have towed a 5k lb boat a few times and get around 8 to 10 on the highway, which is actually decent towing. Surprised the P400 doesn't have better mpg than the P300. Our LR4 got better gas mileage than our LR4 with 100 extra hp. More torque really helped move that tank.

16.2 over here. Pretty consistent with a mix of city and highway.
