Default Pano roof wont close, wind deflector broken?

I parked the defender and left the roof open, when I went to close it it only closed 3/4 of the way as if something was obstructing it. I climbed up and found a plastic piece that hold the spring to the wind deflector had either broken or came off. I had to hold it in place to get the spring to stay out of the way of the roof. which allowed the deflector to be pushed down. So the roof is closed, which is good, but i cant seem to locate the part or a picture of it. I really dont want to drive to the dealer and waste time just to get a part number. Has anyone experienced this? Anyone have a part number? Hoping its not gonna require the entire frame to be replaced that would be stupid. the pictures of the frame dont seem to show the part that broke. I havent looking into it too much I just closed it and went about my day. Ill look more into it over the weekend. but any help would be appreciated.

Same thing just happened to me and I temporarily fixed it the exact same way. Service rep at the dealer confirmed seeing this a few times and has the part waiting for me. Not what you are looking for, but shows the pattern of failure in the part.

Post a picture, might be easier to search if I understood which side of the spring is the issue. Not sure if you're referring to the problem being at 1 or 7 in the dia.

For now, here's a link to the schematic that JLR has at my favorite spot to look up parts - JLR of Palm Beach. Link.

Ill try to get a pic tomorrow. If I remember. but..... on the drivers/left side, at the base of the wind deflector there is a plastic clip that has a spring attached to it the spring is what pushes the deflector up when you open the roof.

You won't be able to get that one part by itself. It looks like this is definitely part of the wind deflector (#7 in the schematic linked above). This would most definitely be covered under warranty, but if you're out of warranty, you're looking at around $260 plus labor for the wind deflector assembly.
