Just happened to me as well. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Unfortunately came to the same conclusion after searching up and down for parts. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

LR makes a repair kit for $67. I ordered m-Attachment screws for $7 on eBay. I’m gonna drill through the plastic and reattach to the frame with the screws.

It may be hard to get to the rear screw due to the spring mounting lug. But we’ll see I ordered the kit as well

Default Fixed.

I fixed the broken plastic piece even though I ordered replacement. The m-lok screws came in today. I used a
-5/32 drill bit to make holes In the plastic where the 2 tabs broke off
-placed a screw In each hole and attached the fastener(nut) to the bottom
-reattached the plastic to the spring and lined the fastener(nuts) to fit through the slots
-used a 2.5mm hex key to tighten the screws ( longer is better)
the rear screw took some finagling but I was able to tighten it from an angle.
I applied loctite 222 purple light duty thread locker to prevent them from vibrating loose.
Also be mindful of the mesh netting on the air deflector mine tore slightly while aligning the screws to the slots

All in all took about 20 mins. May not be worth it to some since the replacement kit is only $67. But the screws were $7. I may still install the new piece when it arrives at the dealer. We shall see

Default Pic of defector spring housing

I had to hold it in place to get the spring to stay out of the way of the roof. which allowed the deflector to be pushed down. So the roof is closed, which is good, but i cant seem to locate the part or a picture of it. I really dont want to drive to the dealer and waste time just to get a part number. Has anyone experienced this? Anyone have a part number? Hoping its not gonna require the entire frame to be replaced that would be stupid. the pictures of the frame dont seem to show the part that broke. I havent looking into it too much I just closed it and went about my day. Ill look more into it over the weekend. but any help would be appreciated.
Mine broke also - this is with the spring side still in place (you can see cracked piece in the track)

Happened to me too - replaced under warranty. Exactly same scenario. I suspect that the plastic gets damaged by weather-related heating/cooling and becomes fragile. I don't use the sunroof a lot.

This just happed to my 2022 Defender 110. For those who have done it, how easy was it to install the new plastic spring retainer bracket?

Should we just be buying this LR137034 - install fixing kit - and installing it on older L663’s? I’d rather proactively change it out than wait for this to crack, which seems... inevitable based on what I’m reading in this thread?

Super easy, you can do it on the dealer lot in front of the sales Dept like I did! Haha

I also ordered a Chinese part on Amazon which came a couple weeks later and the parts seem like the same.

Installed the replacement brackets today. So easy a Caveman can do it...

Gonna buy an extra set just in case.
