I wonder if it could be the wade sensor that is at fault.

No error in my wade sensing screen but I can’t hear clicks from the wade sensors In the mirrors.

I can’t get my ear on them so perhaps they’re fine. I will need to rule this out before o go messing with a software rollback.

other than an audible clicking I wonder is there any other sign a sensor is functioning normally or not.

I decided to invest in a diagnostic tool. $7

really incredible how clearly it showed a difference.

Auto stethoscope from Amazon $7

all sensors are clicking loudly with one exception.

A barely there clicking from this one.

A clicking is present but much quieter.

The wade sensors in the mirror click at double the rate when Wade sensing is turned on. Very cool to learn more about this stuff.

I will replace the sensor and report back. Should be easy enough to get to once I unscrew the bracket for the aux cooler. Maybe not.

I wonder if you have managed to replace that sensor. The same one on my right side just stopped working. I found dents on it.

As it turned out I had a second sensor that completely went dead. This results in all clicking from all front sensors stopping but a clear fault colde.

when I was getting barely there clicking from one sensor it was resulting all manner of weird errors in GAP.

I was doing the repair yesterday. Part didn’t arrive as planned so I just swapped out the one that was giving weak clicks. now it’s kicking away nice and loudly again. I was able to complete the daisy chain circuit with the weakened old sensor on the dead ones place.

Once the second arrives (tomorrow is my guess ) I’ll pop it in and hopefully all will be good. Fingers crossed.

Default Parking sensors fixed

Fully functional again after replacing two sensors.

just remove the corner bit of bumper and bend it back to get access to two of the three sensors on that side.

There is no need to disconnect the loom nor the camera as outlined in the bumper removal instructions. I did. Not needed.

Old ones.

Old ones.

All working again.

All working again.

One sensor was clicking weakly. The other completely dead. Dead one gives a clear fault in the NFSM in GAP

This pops off and on with ease.

Are the sensors plug and play or do you need the gap tool to get them to work after new install?
