I have a 2025 Octa and I had mine PPF'd in Stek Dynoshield (best for high gloss finish) for $6500. I live in Westchester County, NY.

I just picked up my Tasman Blue 110 last week. I brought it to my local Wrap Shop.

I just came by to take a look at the progress….here is a photo below.

- Entire XPEL Matte Full Body Wrap
- PPF Black Gloss Wrap will be done on the Roof, Side Accent near back windows and A-Pillars
- 20% Tint on Driver/Front Passenger Windows

Total (taxes in): $6,000 Canadian. (I think it’s very pricey in the US?)

I also feel like that is horrendously overpriced. They used pre-cut STEK film (their highest-end, self-healing material), but didn’t do exotic-style full corner wraps (no trim removal or cutting film on the car). I wanted it for off-road protection, not show.

Price didn’t include the roof or rear door exterior, but did include double layers on the gloss black lower doors, lower front bumper, front grille, and inside the rear cargo door (to protect from dogs).

FYI: Matte film doesn’t self-heal as well as gloss. My buddy got matte and now wishes he’d gone with gloss. Just an FYI. He didn’t know that when he chose matte over gloss. His trail pinstripes are far worse than mine and we do the same trails all the time.
Hey man, where/who did you use for the PPF? There is a top place in Redmond recommended by probably one of the leading tech installers and they estimated 10-ish for a 110 defender but I was asking about a 100% job which is a lot more than what the factory version covers and hand cut for less obvious edges.

Awesome! There aren't enough Tasman's with the matte. It's gorgeous. That's a good deal compared to the US.

Found a guy on Facebook marketplace that went through training and was trying to start his PPF business. Paid $1k to wrap everything but the trim and the roof in satin PPF. All of the PPF shops are wildly overpriced imo.

503 Motoring in PDX. If you want a contact lmk.
They’re great
They’ve done this Defender, which I have a couple panels replaced on annually to fix trail damage, and my 911 which gets the track pack taken on and off more frequently than I'd really care for. 🤣

Note I have PPF’d lots of cars and I no longer use shops who do 1)not use precut film and do not use shops who 2) wrap every edge invisibly. These are the 8000-10000 guys I find. I am done with these guys cutting everything on the car (a consideration perhaps with your Octa given its high price tag). Every single car I’ve had PPF’d by the “best people” reveals cuts years later when I remove it, slivers of paint, and other issues. The problem is, it’s like a botched windshield install that yields rust 10 years later. You never know until you remove the PPF. And I’m talking about the best shop in the Bay Area, the best guy in Atlanta, the best person in a market... not a tier 2. Always cuts.

This means many edges are visible and PPF seams are visible in minor detail places. I really don’t care - it’s for protection. Just FYI, different school of thought than many who want all their bits removed and every PPF seam and whatever hidden (which IMO results in cuts no matter how brilliant or expensive the installer is) . Hope that’s helpful.

You just cured me of caring about the "custom" cut approach vs computer/pre-cut. I had a truly terrible experience back in 2008 at the (then owned) Barrier Audi recommended tint shop in Bellevue for window tinting, This was a for a new 2008 Audi S4 avant mt6. This shop CUT INTO THE GLASS itself on both 3rd row cargo side windows which was bad enough but... "Mistakes happen" right ?? They also cut into the paint below the tailgate glass in the body groove/gap..... You know what's worse than having your paint cut on a car with 20 miles? Finding it a week later while washing the car, cleaning every groove, and finding BLACK spray paint where they tried to HIDE IT FROM ME !

Beyond LIVID does not even accurately describe my mental state that day.

It is one thing to have your installer F something up, like cut the glass, and the paint, on a new car, BUT to then try to hide it. The shop owner even then started blabbing about "I have a body shop guy...." As if I was not going to hold his *** to the flame for the absolute best repair possible in the seattle area. Even then I wanted to go after him for full value because no matter what shop in the world, it could never again be what I had just bought days earlier.

So, thank you for the reminder that when you give people the opportunity to F stuff up, someone, somewhere, will invariably find a way to do so.

@jwest that’s good to know, glad I could help. PPF is awesome and it’s going on all my cars after purchase, but... to protect ! Not to damage!
