Driving down the highway, the A-Pillar cover/trim starts flapping like it’s saying Hi to every Ford Fusion on the road. Pull over and see that it’s full of felt stickers. Looks like they tried the rattle fix before they sold it, I am thinking. No idea why the trim came loose. Only the bolt at the bottom is holding it on. I grabbed a face mask, wrapped it around the trim, pulled it tight and rolled up the window to hold the straps.

Had the Defender for two weeks.

2020 P400 SE. How screwed am I?

 

My understanding is that there is a known issue with the 2020 and there is a fix for it. Not sure what you experienced qualifies for what I was told at the dealer and read here though. It’s been described as a “clicking” or intermittent hum. Good luck with a resolution.

 

It’s beyond a minor fix. It’s detached except for the bottom bolt. Drive it enough and it’s flying off.

 

Mine has been to the dealer 3 times and the tapping noise is still there. Going in for the 4th time next month. The fix that has been applied so far for this issue is nothing more than a band aid fix.
Out of the blue, and without any impact on the front windshield, I now have a stress crack and who knows whether LR will cover it under warranty.
