Pivi Pro 4.4.0
A long while ago, one of my family members noticed that Windows becomes cantankerous and refuses to do obvious things when it wants you to install an update.
I'm starting to suspect that Pivi is just like that - I haven't had a single problem with 4.3.0 since it was released... until 4.4.0 upgrade message started showing up. Since then, it froze on me on at least four different occasions, every time on vehicle start, and every time, annoyingly, I noticed it only after I was driving for a few minutes, already on the street or on the highway - it would start, connect to Android Auto, but the audio would be dead and audio controls both on the steering wheel and on the dashboard would be non-functional (no response on the screen), along with the clock. At the same, the Android Auto map would work just fine.
Is it just mine, or is it a pattern?

with regards to AA, always make sure your phone itself isn't on DnD mode. If it is, all of your audio will be muted and you'll literally drive yourself batty trying to figure out why you can't hear anything.
Don't ask me how I know.

Please share how one can initiate a ‘rollback’. That has always been a concern for many of us. If there is a glitch or gremlin in an update, how do we revert to an earlier version of PIVI?
My 2020 110 P400 updated to 4.4.0 overnight. This morning at first startup I noticed I had amber MIL light as I was moving the car out of the driveway - which was not there yesterday.
Pulled out the Gap IIDTool to see what was up. You can sort codes in there to figure out which ones triggering the MIL and there was only one: ABS / Anti-Lock Brake System Control Module - U0100-00 (AB) Lost communication with ECM/PCM This is a code when communication to a module is lost on the CANBUS. Cleared it, drove ~30 miles, MIL has not returned.
I was not seeing any drivability issues and no brake or DSC warnings. This appears to be a one-time post-update CAN issue rather than an actual problem with the car.
That said, given what V8 owners just went through with this same update I’d say this timing is… not confidence-inspiring. This little surprise delayed a separate project I was about to start on the car by about 90 minutes. Thanks, JLR.
Posting here mainly as a data point for other P400 owners.
