I’m in agreement with that, and based on what nashvegas just went through I’m a little skittish on allowing the software to update. Maybe there will be a 4.4.5 on the horizon.

What's the general consensus on 4.0.0...is it safe to go ahead and accept the update?
2024 110 P400.

If you're going to 4.0.0, you're absolutely fine.

If you're going to 4.4.0, you are also probably fine. Other than @nashvegas 's comment above about the ABS code, there really haven't been any issues with the P400 with 4.4.0. I Updated to it last week on my P300 and haven't had a single issue. V8 models are the ones getting bricked.

Yep...4.4.0 (typo).
OK...I'm taking the plunge...I may be back here looking for rides if this goes south!

I’m going to stir up the pot a bit here.

My 2024 V8 Carpathian is on 4.2 and shows ‘up to date’ even tho the last update was Dec 2024 (13+ months ago).

My Service manager says that they can force an update if bring my car in.

I was clear to them that my issue is not the inability to install the update, it is my ability to receive an update to install.

Before I spend ½ day trekking to/from the dealer, can anyone confirm that the dealer can indeed pull the latest update for installation? The most important upgrade that I am looking for is improvement in the Apple Car Play experience. I’m told that the upgrades have made a positive impact.

I asked my dealer to push the latest update to my 2025 P400 and they told me they couldn't do it. My case may be different than yours as my P400 has never received an update from delivery - my software version screen is actually blank - no version number or date showing.

I got the same reply from my service adviser: No, we cannot force an update. Yet others here have said their dealership DID push an update. It seems like some dealerships will go the extra mile while others don’t want to be bothered. Yet every time I’m there, when leaving they ask that I give them all 10’s on the satisfaction survey I will be receiving. Don’t hold your breath, buddy.
