Cool. Have you driven the vehicle? Is the update an improvement?

I am still waiting for the previous update 3.3.0. Don't understand the rationale behind how these are pushed to our cars. Some get right away, others wait ages.

Same here....I have owned my new D90 for 2 weeks....this update process makes no sense. Other than this, I am really enjoying my new Defender.

just notified 3.3.0 is available for me. made sure i was connected to home wifi only (others had reported issues with ota updates via cellular).

agreed to the terms and then closed and locked over night with an amplifi alien mesh point 3 feet away.

system never updated. in fact, when i check the amplifi app, the defender shows in devices for about 10 minutes when leaving and locking, and then disconnects… never reconnecting to the wifi.

anyone else seeing this kind if wifi behavior?

Btw after a day driving with 3.3.1, can’t say I see any real difference. Perhaps there’s a bit of “refinement” when it comes to gear selection (which on occasion has been a little wonky for me in this truck). But if that wasn’t called out as an issue to focus on, doubt I would have noticed a thing.

Anyway, happy driving.

I don’t think it’s a connection to wifi. Mine was via satellite. I actually have wifi in my garage and it noted that it needed an unobstructed signal. So I parked outside (there is minimal cell coverage in my area) and it went through just fine. I’ve gotten both updates this way.

good to know. i had seen other posts where updates failed to install over cellular… and the issue was resolved by turning off cellular, and staying connected to home wifi.

will give the cellular route a go… but the not staying connected to home wifi is odd.

and if you cant ota update over a wifi connection at home, why include that functionality. carplay uses wifi, but in other cars i have owned the wifi was for carplay only and could not connect to a home network.

plan on trying cellular and will keep you all posted.

thanks for the feedback!
