Default Poor interior build quality

I have had my 90 since March, and it has developed many constant squeaks in multiple places, from window trims, back seat, and dashboard, also the ventilation makes a constant whistling noise. I turn the music up to disguise this, but the car can not take the power of the stereo as everything vibrates even more. I have turned down the subwoofer and base but still the car squeaks and rattles are driving to me distraction. I have booked the car in to be looked at, but if this can not be resolved I will reluctantly sell it as I can not live with this. This is my 5th Land Rover car and probably the worst built for squeaks. The only positive is that after supply issues I can sell it for more than I paid for it. Has anyone else had similar issues with interior squeaks?

Miscellaneous creaks, tremors, squeak and noises are a common theme on this forum. Go up there to the top and hit "Search v" then choose "Advanced Search". Then on the Search page put whatever search term you want in the left "Keyword" {aka, noise}. Be real sure to select on the right "Search in Forum(s)" to limit it to "Defender 2020" and you will get a LOT of articles. Heck, here's the link if you want "noise": https://landroverforums.com/forum/se...archid=4267884. I even think there is an entire thread to cataloging various sounds.

This type of concern, complaint, issue, problem is very common on this Forum. While all vehicles have them, there are a variety of opinions as to whether they represent the masses or just those looking for answers. I think a survey went out and last time I checked, ~69% of the folks answering said they have had few, little, minor, no concerns. So various noises aren't universal, but pretty common. However, what you describe is VERY atypical. I don't recall many/any posts with universal noise problems. I almost posted a meme from Star Trek about you going too fast! But I reconsidered as you are likely to be having atypical problems. As much as I hate to say it: go to the Dealer. Hopefully they can fix it or find a simple fix where some sort of body stiffener is loose. Worse case, the good news is the market is so insane they should gladly take it back and re-fob it off to someone else (hopefully fixing it first).

There were a couple of other posts here and on another forum about some 90's that had suspected bad body welds (or adhesive joints) in the rear interior.

Excessive noise was an issue for them.

They alluded to this being a know issue with some 90's and I want to say they were built late last year or early this year.

No idea if/how those ever got resolved.I think they just stopped posting about it.

This was one of them https://landroverforums.com/forum/20...issues-106573/

Edit: And I just realized someone else posted the same. Oops.

I doubt anyone wants to hear "good news", but my 2022 - 5 mo old D110 SE is solid, tight, quiet and "noise -free". The only little rattle I hear comes from the cargo-dog barrier that I've got installed, and things that are clipped to and gear stowed in the back. We'll see how the miles and years treat it going forward.

I have a 2022 D90 with a build date of 8/21 and took delivery 10/1/21. So far it is tight and squeak chirp rattle free.

The only annoying squeak I had on my 2022 90 was the driver's seat when braking and accelerating from a stop. It was not heard until a month or two into ownership and drove me really crazy for a month or two (intermittently) but over the past couple of weeks it seems to have largely gone away. No idea why it has gone away but I'm very glad it has. Maybe something on the seat rail wasn't 'broken in' or was askew, it was a plastic-y click sound. If it returns and continues to occur regularly it would definitely have to be addressed. All manner of squeaks all around the vehicle seems like it's highly unusual though. I don't blame you for getting ready to bail on it.
