Default Project Kahn

Does anyone here have any experience dealing with Kahn? I ordered & paid for their Defender P400 exhaust a couple of weeks ago…. Was told the item was in stock and would ship, directly…. I was told that the order was processed and would be dispatched last week. Now I’m being told that I will be notified once dispatched…. Seems odd to me that now the order is on a wait and see with no additional response. 🤷🏼‍♂️ In hindsight, I perhaps should have purchased the Milltech exhaust ☹️…..

Hope you paid with a Credit Card. Watch how long you have to dispute and let them know to cancel the order if it's getting close. Everything takes a LONG time these days, so it's all about the responsiveness and how proactive they're being.

i have been inquiring about their set of wheels and they are just terrible on responding. no US dealers. i was once interested in their exhaust since they were first to market. same nonesense, couldn’t tell me anything about the system. ended with the miltek. but even that adventure did not come without headache. dealers had no info about the system and went on a whim and purchased. ended having to modify the system and resonators. prob the first in Us to have the system so guess that’s what happens when your an early adopter

And….. it keeps getting better! After being told for over a week that it has left the warehouse and DHL tracking would be provided….Today I was told by the manager that there is a pipe or part lacking, that they are awaiting from the source. First question I asked before paying “in-full” on Dec 2nd: is the exhaust system in stock? Answer: yes! 🤦‍♂️

Finally!!! After over a month and delays with DHL…. The exhaust arrived. I installed it yesterday…. Off road height with the air suspension gave me just enough room to crawl underneath for the install. The quality is very good and the sound is nice.

Looks very nice! How was the installation? Would love to upgrade the exhaust, and it’s note on my 2022 110. Replaced the exhaust on my Evoque years ago and loved the improved sound, and it seemed to add a few extra HP. And it’s always easier to change out an exhaust on a new vehicle, before the parts start to ‘marry’ from age, rust and oxidation. How much did it set you back? And how long did it take you?

It wasn’t too bad…. The hardest part was separating the old exhaust from just behind the expansion pipe…. That took some time, twisting and pulling. Also, rather than trying to pull the rubber hangers loose… It was necessary to unbolt the hanger brackets and install on the new bits and then bolt the brackets back into place.

Can you share a video with the sound?

The Kahn exhaust looks awesome in gloss black! How is the sound? I’m interested in one myself but have concerns about how loud it is at lower RPM’s or if there is a exhaust drone.

This looks fantastic and I am thinking of doing the same thing to my 2020 X. Now that you have had it on for a while what are your thoughts? Any droning?
