Purchase a Defender 90 Trophy Edition
Yes, yes you are.
You, Gavin, are the reason why I'm going to get one. Definitely a useful piece of kit and I should've invested in one YEARS ago. Keep being a PITA about it, maybe you'll covert more people.
Cheers

My Lucky8 order arrived today.
I now have my GAP tool.
However, my LR is going into the shop for its PPF treatment and windshield wrap among a few other minor accessory addons to be installed later this afternoon.
Normally take my PPF accessory guy 2-3 days, so might be the weekend or early next week before I get the LR back so I can start to play around with the GAP tool features.
Looking forward to learning and experimenting with what it can do.
Thanks again guys for all the help and tips.
Much appreciated.

Which windshield wrap are you getting? And is it for rock chip protection (vs tint), as there are a lot of folks that are on their 3 or more windshield! Thanks.
I only carry a 2K insurance deductible, so I want to protect that high dollar windshield as best I can.
The Defender has a pretty steep raked windshield, similar to Jeeps and Bronco's and are know they are very prone to getting damaged because of that design.
I believe the brand they are using is Madico. But I need to verify that brand name for you.
I know my other windows are all tinted in Madico Ceramic Black Pearl film.
I have been using Madico window tint on all my vehicles since the mid 80s.
I really like the latest Ceramic films, great heat rejection.
Different shops doing the work, but I am pretty sure my PPF guy also uses Madico films.
Here is a link to more info on the Madico clear plex windshield protection films.

BUT, it's going to a satin gunmetal with some smaller graphics that signify it's a Trophy. I asked some LR purists and the main answer on the change was "Eh, it's basically a wrap, not like you're repainting an old Camel Rover" LOL
