Radar Detector and Laser Shifter Install Question

Has anyone installed a radar detector and laser shifters on their LR Defender, I have always tapped into the fuse box and mounted the detector near the rear view mirror and the laser shifter heads in the grill of previous vehicles, but the LR is a little different layout and I still haven’t found the interior fuse box location to tap into a power supply. If you don’t agree with the subject scroll on by. Thanks in advance.

I have for sale in the marketplace area the Powerful UK power tap harness that uses the factory harness plugs in the overhead console area and provides a powersource for accessories. You can read Powerful UK's description here to see if it will suit your needs. I'm only asking $25 with free shipping in the lower 48.

On our LR4's it was easy to tap into the wiring in the center dome light. But the Defender has far more wiring in there for the cameras. I took the easy way out and used the lighter plug and ran the power cord under the dash, up the pillar to the V1. New V1 has a great range of detection and screens out most BSM radar.
I enjoyed having laser shifters on our LR4's and many Audis before that. They worked great and I could speed with confidence. But with the new laser guns, the police have a big advantage. They work from half a mile away, and operators now know when they are being jammed. Modern laser guns record the day, time, your speed and your front license plate into one image that will be tough to argue about in court. I decided it made more sense to just drive slower than spend $2000 on installing a laser shifter in the Defender.

Fuse box is behind the glovebox ...pretty simple.
But I don't know if I'd bother to go into the glovebox.
I used a simple mirror tap for radar unit off the back of the rear view mirror / clear sight mirror. But I only have a radar detector - not also laser jammers. So you may need more power IDK? Then I used a powerfuluk jumper harness in the overhead sunroof/dome light console to power my Blackvue dash cam
