i hard wired my older Escort Passport 360 when putting my audio upgrade in. Looks like the same model but i have not done any updates.

i am getting a bunch of false alerts. I have laser turned off as i had issues with my previous cars adaptive cruise control interfering but never the KA bands

anybody have issues with their detectors

 

Do you have a solar attenuating windscreen? I don't know if that affects radar detectors but I believe it affects toll readers, might have something to do with it.

 

i have a v8 and went through the build and doesn’t seem like an option. Maybe it came standard

 

Any older radar detector will go off constantly from the blind spot monitoring on vehicles around you. I believe Honda and Mazda both use K band which made my old Valentine One useless. (Well, it went off constantly so less speeding)

The generation 2 Valentine One is excellent with far less false alarms. I have mine mounted to the left of the rearview mirror in the solar film cut-out area.

 

I’m using a Uniden R3 mounted to the passenger visor. It works just fine with the solar attenuating wind screen, which surprised me since I had to mount a toll-road transponder to the sunroof.

 

Try updating the software. I am about to upgrade mine. I have the Max360 and getting false alarms and they are definitely coming from the defender. Same thing in my BMW a while back but updating it back then canceled out the issue frequencies. They push out updates all the time.
