I placed an order for a P300S 90 first week of July and I’m being told it’s being built this month with delivery expected in December. If I get it by the end of January I’ll be happy

Ours took five months from the day LR accepted the order to the day we picked it up from the dealer in Jacksonville Fl. It took about two months from the day we were notified it was built. There are lots of variables. The dealer never knew very much other than the major milestones like order acceptance, build, shipping date. Even though they eventually knew the scheduled date for the ship to arrive in Brunswick, they were as surprised as I was to receive the Defender two days later.

It depends - it's possible to place an order with a dealer but if the dealer doesn't have an allocation for a truck then the order won't be placed with JLR. It might help to ask your dealer if the order has been placed with JLR. If is has he should be able to provide a "build sheet" with your spec and tentative dates for the following: Last change allowed, build date, delivery date, customer handover date. Grated in my case everything went to plan but once the truck was built there were delays of two months. 7 months from allocation to delivery (last Saturday!!!!)

Like mentioned... there are lot of variables. I placed a deposit for our 110X August 2021, built late May 2022, arrived stateside 3rd of September... waiting for port installed parts now (some options some standard).

^This. The LR dealer closest to me told me 9-12 months for a Defender since they are just stacking up the orders in a folder waiting for allocated build spots. Another dealer an hour away had a build spot I could modify and I went and did that yesterday. Looking forward to driving a Defender again since my wife took mine and I've been stuck driving our X5.

The dealer just indicated they have 60 Defenders in the queue and are currently receiving around 10/ month....hopefully we'll receive the last change request soon.

Ordered 110X 1/18, built 6/13, will finally hit port in Baltimore 9/17. Hopefully not held in port too long but needs roof rack ladder and lunch box. Crazy wait time.

JLR is currently indicating 9-12 months....hoping my Carpathian order...…essentially a fully optioned vehicle is not impacted to badly with chip supply issues

I looked at one on June 11th. Built the config and gave it to the dealer on the 13th. They got some allocation later that month and my last change date was June 29th.

Currently expectation is first week of October for it to get here. This is a 2023.5 110 SE model with a bunch of options.
