New project / mod for the rear Cargo space, if you search for a cargo rack in the rear many examples are shown for Jeeps. To make the cargo room more versitile we have to move up. Looking for the mounting points I think under the windowframe there is a good and steady formed metal ridge to mount on.
Did some testing with my Bestop Cargo Rack Tray
Here is shown at 53 cm height, so at least I can slide my ARB fridge under it.
The mounting plates left and right need to be in an angle, for example :
First I needed to make sturdy brackets / attachpoints. Bracket formed and mounted with self-tapping screws and PU body kit
Made a proto from Wood
Under the floor my recovery gear
Bought on Amazon an Interior Cargo Rack ( not my first choice, first post above shows the Body Armor 4x4)
Now I have to make another extended mounting bracket and little cutting in the edges.
Finished with a EPDM U liner arround all the sharp edges.
So it needs sturdy brackets and someone who can extend the legs of the Jeep JK/JL lnterior cargo rack.
