The rear left door on my 23MY 110 X takes more force compared to other doors to open, especially from the inside. The door sort of ‘pops’ open fine, as if it isn’t the latch. But then when you push to open it (from the inside) it’s like the seals are suctioning to the car, then eventually letting go. Anybody else have this issue?
Another issue with my rear doors is on both sides the rubber piece up against the top of the signature graphic catches when opening the door. The below picture of it occurring is a screenshot from a slow-mo of opening the door.

Anybody know how to fix these issues or if they are related?

 

Known issue and there's a TSB (technical service bulletin) to replace that door seal. It catches on itself and is misaligned ... worse when it's wet. My rear left door has been done 2x.

 

Is this for both the issues or just the latter one?

 

My left rear door also sticks, and is a known issue as stated above, but until I decide to get to the dealer I just wipe the door seal/gasket and the corresponding door jamb on the body with a touch of Armor-All or similar and it is fine for the time being. I’ll eventually get to the dealer but I’m not losing sleep over it. Besides, each previous time I’ve taken it to the dealer they’ve managed to cause more problems than they’ve fixed.

 

Just take it to the dealer and let them fix your issues. There is also an adjustment for the tailgate door, so let the dealer check it out as well.

 

The sticking door issue is simple to fix at home if you don't have time to go in to the dealer.

You need a piece of 2-3mm thick foam tape and cut it to about 1/4" wide. Open the door and pull the rubber seal back and away from the door. Install the foam tape on the edge of the door , then reapply the rubber trim. It pushes the rubber seal into the right position and solves the problem. That is pretty much what the TSB shows as the fix.

 

In addition to what chpsk8 suggested above, another "at home" fix is to get a tube of shin-etsu grease and liberally apply it to the rubber seal. While you are at it....go ahead and wipe down all of the rubber seals around the doors to eliminate rattles.

Yep - just get it done under warranty cuz it's a free fix
(t's all the same issue - the suction/ the seal catching -- same issue)
