Default Rebooting a Defender?

Other than disconnecting the battery, is there a way to reboot our trucks?

Mine is being built next week, but I have seen something like holding the power switch on the radio 30 seconds? Someone will chime in and correct if needed.

That will reboot Pivi. Afaik, disconnecting the battery is the only way to reboot every module in the vehicle. To me, a 10mm wrench is just as essential as a tire guage & code reader in the glove box.

Why would you want to "re boot" your Defender?

My key fobs are no longer proximity recognized by the ignition system. The locking system continues to recognize them. I thought a "reboot" might clear the issue. (It's not a fob battery issue.)

I would still change your battery in you key Fobs then test again. It is an easy step to troubleshot. Its the first thing the dealership will do and might save you a trip to the dealer. When troubleshooting its best not to assume anything.

Thanks, yep did that as my fall back step. No joy. However, magically the following day, everything is fine again. Go figure.

I just did a little test, if the engine is running while parked and a door is opened the key warning will pop up and not turn off until the engine is restarted.
The key is still on the center console ..

This happens every time even after the dealer replaced the module.
