Default Remote Start / Climate Start

I used remote start before going out this morning to try to take the edge off before piling into the Defender this morning. It seems like the climate part doesn't really work though. Here's what I'm doing:

Change temp settings to 80 on the new Remote app (not the old outdated app, I just figured this out last week from posts here)
Hold app button to start from app, in house
Get error message on the app saying something - this leads me to believe that remote starting did not work.
However, looking outside, the car does actually start (quickly, in 5-6 seconds) , I see the vapor plumes from tailpipes. Good!
Get in car 11 mins later
Fans not on, inside is same temp as outside. No heating in other words
Climate screens not on when I get in the car
I then step on brake to carry on, and the instrument panel.
Climate panel illuminates (to the settings it was on last time I drove - not to the 80 I set it in the app)

I find it hard to believe my old RRS and Subaru had a more effective winter climate start. Dealer literally won't touch or think about Incontrol software issues -- but -- Is something wrong ?

Surprisingly, there's an InControl Support. Give them a call/e-mail and cross your fingers. I really hope you try this out so you can report back re: your experience with this route.
