I still wish the seat heaters and steering wheel would turn on as well. Maybe some later iteration?
I may have found it in the manual. I'm going to check it tonight. It looks like in Pivi you select Climate, and there should be a gear icon on the bottom left of the screen. Sounds like there are settings for the climate in that gear. I'll check and report back. Here's the description from the manual...
  1. Heated windshield button: Press to switch on or off. If left on, the heated windshield deactivates after a timed period, dependent on the ambient temperature.Note: In cold ambient conditions, the windshield and rear screen heaters switch on automatically when the engine is started. The function can be switched on or off via climate settings.

Note: The heated windshield operates only when the engine is running.
Edit: So if you go into the gear setting icon from any screen, select ALL>
Then find Apps> Climate> the ability to turn on the windshield and rear defrost as "turn on when engine starts" toggles are there.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Now to see if I can find a CCF change for turning on the seats and steering wheel. That would be perfect if that exists.

I agree. My basic 2019 F250 has that feature.

My Jeeps would also turn on the heated seats / steering wheel if you remotely started the vehicle and it was below 40 degrees F. A nice feature and something that should be easy to implement.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Definitely would not have found this otherwise. What a ridiculous sub menu to have this hidden under. (And yes the toggle is turned off from factory)

What does setting them on do? Does it always turn on window heat?

Default Why does the Defender never actually warm-up?

Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the computer system in the Defender to actually get the vehicle warmed up? I've been using it on numerous ski trips, and it is puzzling. In fact, if the vehicle is warming up off the remote start, and I go to load the rear with our ski gear, the vehicle shuts off. Can't be a safety issue - unless someone has the key fob in the cabin and drives away, there is a low chance of that. My wife's Escalade not only has a remote button start, but actually gets warm inside the cabin, as well as it having the seat and wheel warmer on.

I don't understand why LR wouldn't have this functionality. Seems like a small computer programming issue.

Set the temperature on the app to "HI" and activate the remote start a good 5-10 minutes before entering the vehicle. Mine always gets warm using this method. Hell, mine gets warm when I have it set to 73° or higher.

Unfortunately I've been doing it that way from the beginning, and the reverse for cooling the vehicle in the Summer, to no avail. Nothing like other vehicles out there oddly. Must be some secret Nintendo Code I missed...

That's definitely not normal. Has it been like this since you purchased the vehicle? I'd take it to the dealer and have them try to diagnose it.

Yes, been like this since getting it in December 2022. I had the dealer look into, and I explained that we cannot have the seat warmers on and air blowing at the fastest setting and heated steering wheel come on remotely - they said this was intentional. I think that's bananas, no other of my friends luxury SUVs and cars do that. I'm not in Greenland either, just NY State and New England typical weather. There must be a hack for this somewhere. LOL
