Default Removal of rear foam insert

Has anyone had any success in removing the rear foam insert where the jack is stored in the 7 passenger model? I’m in the process of removing the third row seats and it appears that the last fixing point is under the insert and for the life of me I cannot figure how to get it out.

much appreciated!

Disregard. I got it out with a fair amount of cursing. Just had to pull in the right directions, it's not affixed to anything.

I'm trying to remove mine now in order to remove third row. WHat's the easiest way to get it out?

So I am wondering - once removed is there enough space for a lithium battery under where the jack currently sits (i.e. the left hand side)? with the foam in it looks quite deep but hard to know if the foam goes the full depth.

Any intel would be appreciated.

On the 7 seater, what's under there once it's removed? I know the pancake compressor on the right but what about the left?

Anyone have a pic?

Wondering f I could make better use than LR of the space. Plus I keep a bottle jack in there now anyways for my sliders.

I no longer have our defender. But I was able to easily fit this battery, then a mounting panel across the whole the space, then a carpeted cover above that. Plenty of space for an aux battery setup, BMS, Inverter, etc.

Amazon Amazon

I'll see if I can find pics.

Here's what's underneath there once the seats are removed.

And here are some install photos.

I wonder if its possible if the cargo floor from a five-seat 110 would fit without issues.
