It wound up being such poor video, I didn't think it would be helpful, so I never posted it. I do love the resulting cargo area; I use it all the time. Well worth the effort.
1) Anyone who removed the 3rd row seat assembly (both seats together) know the weight of the 3rd row seats -- @sarek perhaps you might know?
2) I see folks made their own flooring to replace where the seats were. (some very cool kit indeed ..) ... but is it not possible to just swap in the floor / trims from a 5 seater car?
The side trim pieces are different between the 7 seater and 5 seater. You can buy the different trim pieces but they are slightly longer and hit the second row seats. Also the second row seats and how they are mounted are different.
I bought the trim pieces that go with the second row and just trimmed them to fit. Cut off about 3 inches. I did this so I could mount my travall drawer
The shipping label said the item weighed 84 pounds. That included a half of a wooden pallet that I attached the seats to for shipping. That may have added 4 or 5 pounds? You might be able to swap in the trims from a 5 seater (there definitely are some differences in the side trims), but I wound up with a lot more usable space by customizing. Good luck!
