Default Removing A Frame Protection Bar

Newbie here, so please be kind. Just got my first 110...a 2022 X Dynamic. I'm coming from a 2007 LR3, so this is an amazing upgrade!

My X Dynamic comes with gloss black trim all over, except for the A frame protection bar which is matte. I'd like to know about removing it without regret, ha. Has anyone taken one off? Is it simple plastic tabs? Will there be any holes in the original bumper? I really appreciate your help.

Yes, after having installed one myself, there is significant cutting of the front lower grill and bumper. You would need to order and replace much of your front end. I think it looks great, that’s why I installed one. Here’s a link to the installation instructions. It would not be difficult to remove the matte sections (just clips), then have a body shop sand them down and spray gloss black if that’s what you want.

I never understood these. It looks like it’s wearing a mask, way too much plastic. I know some of the winch ones are secured with Velcro and can come off on the trail.

OP, it should be fairly easy to find replacement parts for the front bumper. I would check with PowerfulUk.

I read somewhere that it’s required to pass pedestrian crash standards when a winch is installed. Makes sense why it sticks out so… strangely.
