Default Scroll wheel comparison between '22 and '24

I recently took delivery of a 2024 Defender and have convinced myself that the scroll wheel for the radio volume has been 'downgraded' since my 2022... it feels like a plastic utensil you'd use at an outdoor wedding, compared to the heft of your fork at home. I've had a 9-month interlude with a Rivian R1S, with super-high-quality scroll wheels for multiple functions, so I may be biased.

Anyone notice a difference?

It's not that it doesn't do its job... it just feels different.

I'm coming from a 2021 Tesla Model Y Performance. I think the feel of the scroll wheel in my 2024 feels super upscale compared to those in the Model Y. LOL

I couldn't agree with you more on the scroll wheel. I bought a 2024 full size Range Rover earlier this year and the light plastic scroll wheel seriously makes the whole vehicle feel cheap. It bugs me every time I drive it! No weight or substance to it at all.

How was the Rivian experience? I don't know if I could survive without Apple CarPlay, but the interior looks really luxe on those.

Phenomenal in almost every regard... except for living in rural Vermont and having to travel 2.5 hours each way in the dead of winter to destinations without infrastructure. I gave it a solid effort for 9 months, but couldn't bridge the gap without buying a second ICE vehicle backup (a Ford Maverick Tremor).

As for the lack of CarPlay, I got by with bluetooth integration. Primarily Spotify.

I came from a 6 cyl Defender and now have a 4 cyl Defender... I wish JLR would see fit to send the plug-in hybrid to the USA.
