I haven't gotten stuck yet but would rather have a helping hand when I do..

Not quite at that phase yet. The good news is there will be no drilling required. Basically just remove your differential swap out the carrier and install our new case half. The nice thing is that the only shimming that will be required will be for Carrier preload. The simple method will probably be to have a diff shop install. We will be offering full installation at our shop. We will also be offering in a kit form for other shops to install and even diy

Stock differential is a conventional open diff. Not like a true trac or torsen style diff. Optional Factory electronic diff has clutch packs and a ball ramp style flat motor. It is a variable locking torque on demand style differential. The traction control system ultimately controls how much locking there is. Based on terrain mode selected and feedback from the vehicle. Both factory style differentials have a single pin in the differential.. ARB has a cross pin which is a lot stronger.
