My wife just told me this occurred yesterday.

Air temp over 100 degrees.
Driving in town, grabbed a burger.
Parked under a tree for shade.
Engine with AC running.
After 15 minutes or so, the engine shutoff with no warning. Said there was nothing on the Pivi. She didn’t open the door or anything.
Waited a couple minutes, started the engine back up, no warning lights, engine temp normal, no issues. Took off.
I haven’t found any previous posts or anything in the manual.
Thoughts?

 

Engine stop/start activated?

Did the car completely shut down or just the engine stop?

 

Off. Always.

Completely shutoff.

 

That's clearly a fault then, hopefully it was a one off and won't happen again.

lf it does happen again, take it to the dealer as there might be a fault recorded in the ECU.

I'm not sure it's a fault - I can see that being programmed in.
In most European countries 15 mins of idling would get you a ticket - or worse.

Have the fault codes read.
