Default Snorkel Removal (Windshield Replacement)

So, less than 10k miles and I caught a rock in the top-right of my windshield. Safelite tried to seal it but the corner ended up cracking all the way through. Fortunately it only took them 2-3 weeks to source a new windshield and I took it in today for an appointment (still at Safelite).

After about a half hour one of the Safelite guys came out and asked me if the Explorer Pack snorkel was aftermarket and seemed a bit disappointed when I told him that no, it was factory (well, port installed, but same / difference). He and about six other glass techs were completely stumped at how to remove the snorkel with normal tools and without damaging anything, even watching a YouTube video on the installation didn't help them much. They told me that for them to finish working on the windshield I'd need to remove the snorkel and bring it back - super nice about it, but it seems like a big ask for someone who(se insurance) is paying their company probably a couple grand to do one thing.

I had seen at one point the full shop / service manual (12k or so pages) for the 2020+ Defender that included install and removal of the snorkel and I figured if I could provide that they should be able to get it fixed from there. I seem to have lost my .pdf though when I changed phones because I can't find a copy anywhere.

The other option I'm looking at is going through the dealer, but it would be a much bigger hassle because I'd have to pay and then fight with my insurance company (who only wants me to use Safelite) for reimbursement.

Can anyone help? I've tried search but can't find the post that had the Defender service manual attached and can't find any instructions on removing and re-installing the snorkel.

I installed my RAI myself but I've had mine off twice (repairs to a-piller for trim noises).

-Pry the cap off the snorkel (you will need to add new double sided tape on it)
-Unbolt the top bolt that holds the bracket on
-then slightly open the door and remove the two bolts (no need to take the door off, you can fit the 10MM box wrench in there, it's a tight fit but doable)

Just wanted to send @GCSchmidt a big thanks for the help here - I rescheduled my appointment for tomorrow and decided to take the RAI off this afternoon to make sure there weren't any issues.

I thought my ratcheting box wrench would come in handy, but ended up getting the bolts loose with my 1/4" socket wrench (shallow 10mm socket on the top from the inside of the door with it almost closed, deep 10mm socket on the bottom from the outside with the door all the way open. I put strips of masking tape along the front edge of the door to protect from scratches and wrapped my socket wrench with electrical tape for some padding just to be on the paranoid safe side, but while it was a bit cramped for big hands it wasn't exceptionally hard to get off once I got the bolts started and could hand-loosen them.

Back on hopefully isn't anymore challenging than off - it looks like it shouldn't be too bad. At least I know what I'm doing and the tools will work, so thank you again! Fingers crossed Safelite doesn't have any issues with the glass or recalibration tomorrow afternoon.

I was a bit less than impressed when I saw the work that was done installing the snorkel. While I recognize most people are never going to take the snorkel off and see under it, this is quite a hack job on the A-Pillar cover. Now I'm going to have to take this off and clean up the opening before I reinstall the snorkel because even if nobody can see it or know I'm going to know this is under there.
