Agree. But your Honda Passport Trailsport is a great vehicle! We have one of those in our family motor pool too.
Thanks, once in a while I make decent decision. It's tough to beat it as a 'daily' at the price point. Sadly I'm probably going to have to get rid of it in the next 6 months because I'll have a sizable (for me) mortgage to budget for. I'm thinking a really cheap lease will be up next for me. The three banger bronco sport base model in green I suppose, or maybe one of these little Buick things that are buzzing around everywhere now, I'd have to see if I could squeeze my legs into it. Ford and Buick are the two worst cars I've ever owned in my younger years so I don't expect much out of either but for a cheap lease I suppose it's transportation. Could stick with Honda; the Civic and Accord are ok but not all wheel drive, HR-V maybe.

Mazda CX-5 is the way to go. We also have a CX-5 Turbo in the family motor pool but the non-turbo models are far less expensive. Build quality is exceptional since it's the last Mazda sold in the US that is still built in Japan. Interior quality is close to Audi.

Thanks I'll keep it in mind. I had a colleague at work that leased one a few years ago and the motor blew on it. Not sure what that was all about. I rode in it once, it seemed to strain but we had 4 people in it, he wasn't like a lead foot driver or anything so that motor going like that was kind of unexpected. My ex-mother-in-law was a diehard Mazda fan and she never seemed to have any problems with her sedans.
I got rid of my 2018 TT because it had no room for my camera gear and was just too low to pull over into the dirt to take a quick photo of motorcycles in the canyons..
All the Porsche will do is help you rack up speeding reckless driving tickets quickly..
Driving should not be one eye on the road andone eye fixed to the rear view mirror..
Nice Man! As far as I'm concerned, the Defender, 911, and G-Wagon are the three most iconic vehicles on the road. Just don't understand why the Defender depreciates so much😔
My guess is because Land Rover is always ranked near the bottom of any vehicle reliability chart and people are reluctant to buy them used. I have a 2025 on order and the trade-in value on my 18-month-old 2023 with 33K miles is $55K. Sticker was $85K. That's a depreciation rate of $1600/month or $1.00 per mile.
I guess we will keep our 2021 long-term since the depreciation rate should have leveled-out by now. Plus it has all the features our chip shortage 2023 is missing.
Don't believe the hype about Porsche holding their value... When I traded in my 2018 Porsche TT which I paid $168k for and had a trade in value of $105 with only 15,000 mi. two years later...
I honestly liked the car as a car but I couldn't stand the Porsche owners attitudes on and off the road.. Porsche's and porcupines you always know the difference..

LOL...I seriously considered getting a Boxster or Cayman with a manual before they are extinct, but went with a Golf R instead. Decided I would prefer a car I could actually drive without being neurotic about ever parking it anywhere.
