Easy job if you are willing to pull some interior panels. The battery is located behind the driver side rear door. Attached are a couple pics I took when I replaced mine. The battery door had a single screw. I can't remember if it was a normal torx or security torx, but it was small.
i did not take as much of my panel off; but enough to get in there and swap out the battery!

To change yourself you will need the following part:
LR 132077 (battery - was $80 in Los Angeles)
Torx 10 (to open battery compartment)
Whatever else makes you feel comfortable when opening interior body panels
Note: the lower body panel has the following clips (top to bottom)
White Pop Clip
Yellow Clip (I broke this)
White Pop Clip
Metal Pop Clip
