Has anyone experienced a loud buzzing through their speakers? It’s happening with every source: XM, FM, iPhone. Tried a system restart and didn’t fix.

 

I've only read a couple threads re: that problem. Not common. You likely have something loose or, worse, a bad speaker. I'd recommend going into the PivoPro and changing the audio controls to go extreme front right, front left, rear left.... to try to isolate it to one area/speaker(s) or the entire unit/bass. If isolated, you may be lucky and something is lose. However, I think you have won the "take it to the Dealer" lottery and wish you good luck.

 

Thank you. Bad speaker was my fear. Tried the isolation trick and buzz remained in all speakers. Interestingly after the truck sat overnight, the buzz is gone. Hoping it was a one time issue, but chances are it will happen again.

Yeah, I doubt the Defender fixes itself. Years ago, I used to race bikes and a buddy once said: "flesh heals, Campagnolo doesn't". He was more upset about his bike than his body!

 

I think my left driver side speaker is blown, getting looked at by next month.

 

Do you mean it came that way from the factory or failed under use, ie. some very loud music, with lots of bass?

 

I mean I noticed it driving home from the dealer after I first picked it up.
