FWIW, in early July of 2023, I searched the US central and eastern states for pre owned 2021 D90 First Editions with < 20K miles. Finally found one with 18K miles in Mobile, Alabama in excellent condition save for the common issue of paint chipping on top of the fenders below the A pillar. The dealer covered the $3,600 (!) cost of respraying the fenders via a certified JLR body shop. This was not a certified vehicle and does not (yet) have an extended warranty.
Since the dealer accepted my initial $56,500 out the door except for taxes (deal fees included) without hesitation, I suspect that I could have gone down to at least $56K. Perhaps a bit lower.
While researching, I made offers on other similar vehicles. One was a silver D90 First Edition with only 4K miles priced at $62K. The dealer would not budge much from that price in early July. It was sold a week later - presumably near the dealer’s asking price.
In two months following my search, I received alerts that the advertised prices of the other 2021 D90 First Editions with similar mileage as mine that I was considering were dropping. A few the advertised prices fell from near $60K to below the $56,500 that I paid.
I suspect that my vehicle in today’s market would command ~$53K given what I recently experienced. If I was selling it today with 20K miles, I’d start at $56K and go down from there.
The 2021 D90 First Edition is pretty well equipped and didn’t suffer from the chip shortage. Virtual TFT instrument display, air suspension, 20” wheels, ClearSight rear view mirror, soft close rear door, and factory tow hitch. No rear electronic diff and no winter package on mine (although it does have heated steering wheel).

I feel that if you paid $56,500 back in July 2023 (feeling you could have gone lower), you would be hard pressed to get more than $50 in a trade today. Prices are really plummeting on the Defenders, especially the ones falling out of warranty due to miles or years in 2024. I say this against my own interest, since mine is one of those running out of warranty next year. Just out of curiosity, I filled in an appraisal sheet in Vroom these days, and they are offering $50k on my 110 P400 SE with 36kmiles. I feel my car is worth way more than that, but this is the reality for LRs in general.
Not to say values haven’t dropped, of course they have, but a single vroom offer isn’t exactly the most compelling evidence. The vroom offer is representative of nothing more than what vroom want to pay on that day and/or vroom looking to hit the jackpot when someone bites on a lowball. They appear to have only one available, a 2020 listed at 61k.

The offer is good for 7 days I think, so it represents what Vroom would pay in a span of 7 days. Of course it is not compelling evidence, but it shows a ballpark. You can add $3k to $4k to that and I still think it is very low (generally speaking) when compared to what my car offers. I did not see any Defenders in Vroom's site - which IMO should be even an additional incentive for them paying more for the car. Not my case, but I am just saying it is bleak out there if you ever have to trade in your Defender. Except maybe if you are trading in for a new one, then the dealer might get you a better deal.
I don't know, you keep posting things like vroom offers and cars and bids auctions. Why not find out the actual value by selling it and stopping torturing yourself (and us in the process)? The only thing this thread is missing now is that "I'm in the industry" idiot who I'm sure will be along soon.
And in case the above wasn't clear enough we all know that values aren't what they were, we all could have sold at some point in the past and chose not to, and most of us like the car we have and don't care.

Lol...there is always one...take it easy buddy. You seem to be stressed out by people (me in this case) bringing points involving Defenders for discussion to a Forum that is designed for...IDK discussing topics involving Defenders?
Hey, I will let you in a little secret. If the title in the thread does not appeal to you or you think it is BS, just skip to the next one and don't bother opening that thread. I do that ALL THE TIME and works wonders when I think something is not of my interest. What I DON'T do is open the thread, read and start criticizing the people discussing because I think that is BS, torturing??!! or ridiculous (even if I project a little and think they are "idiots"). It is something called free will and respect. Two things that you might be lacking, IMO.
Oh, also do not bother responding because I refuse to engage with certain types, so just be smart, save your time and go explore other more interesting threads. You might find yourself less "tortured"?
I managed to get a 2020 First edition 110 P400 for $51,000 USD with 22k miles. The manufacture warranty is about to run out soon on the older models so I imagine you will see prices coming down soon. I did end up extending the warranty till 2027 for about another $4k though. Pretty happy

Wow. Great deal. 22k miles is brand new. Congrats! Would you mind sharing additional info on the extended warranty you bought? Was it an exclusionary one? I might end up that road since mine is a 2020 as well.
