I have a full set of 18’s steel wheels just waiting for a solution that doesn’t involve spacers. I have 19’s at the moment and the only tire available is the Duratrac it’s been a good tire so far I am about halfway through its life and they get loud as they wear down.
Here is a p400 130 that we installed steel wheels on. It requires a bit of caliper modding, but can be done unless u have the big painted brake calipers like the V8 has. Usually the p400 with larger than 20" wheels from factory have the v8 style calipers. This has 285 75 18 (35") tires installed and a 1 inch lift rod.
I've been trying to sort out whether or not my 18" steel wheels from my 2023 110 S P300 would fit on a 2026 110 S P300, and it is seeming like not. Far more knowledgeable people than me think that Land Rover went to bigger brakes for the MY26 Defender, and hence the 18" wheels won't fit. If I were to get a 2026 and modify the calipers to accept the 18's, would this invalidate the warranty? At least as far as the braking system is concerned, I would think yes, but I'm looking for opinions.
I believe the caliper swap contains the same size piston as the one you are swapping out its just a slightly different housing to allow for a set of 18" wheels to fit. So in theory it shouldn't mess with the warranty. You could always have a landrover dealer do the swap, but you might be in for a bit more of an argument if something goes wrong. I think powerfulUK also does a video with a swapped caliper that shows that not every 18" wheel will fit. Just something to keep in mind.
