Curious to know if anyone has had a similar problem. Whenever it rains or excessive moisture condition (melting snow, car wash etc..) my driver's side, rear door sticks. See video.
All other doors function properly and there's been no trauma to the vehicle. It's a 2020 Defender, currently has 13K miles. Problem started at around 9K miles.
I haven't taken it to the dealer yet, but plan on doing so in the next month or so. My initial thought is that one of the door seals must be comprised??
If you had a similar problem, what was the solution?
Thanks!
2020 110 400SE and the rear drivers door is a bear to open. Kids in the back seat have a very hard time opening it from the inside. Have tried some rubber seal lubricant, and that help about 30%. Need to find time to have the dealer look at it. Let me know what you find out.
Yes, I have this same issue. Started many months ago -- 2021 110 X-Dynamic HSE with 12k miles. I have been building a list of complaints including this one (all minor) for an eventual dealership visit. Curious to know what anyone finds out.
Hello All,
Got the issue fixed! It was a defective trim part. The dealer told me there is a bulletin issued by LR for this problem. The dealer had the car for about a week. Mainly because the part took a few days to arrive. Once received, it took them a couple hours to install. See attached photo for the part info.
I've been going crazy with this issue on my '23MY Carpathian Defender. Rear drivers door is a PITA to open and I feel like I'm going to tear the door handle off when it rains.
I've left several messages with my service Dept but have yet to have a call back. (they must not need the $$).
I'll be calling until I get someone on Monday!!!

Can someone explain to me how is there a service bulletin dated 2020 with instructions to correct this known flaw and MY23 cars are still being delivered with the defective part/installation? Seems unbelievable to me, but maybe (just maybe) there is an explanation out there...

Part for sticky door
That's a very decent response from the dealer, lucky you.
