Switching from Bronco to Defender
#11
Had a 2 door badlands with option wheels and high package. Hardtop ordered day 1. It came in this past December. I got to drive it for like 2 hours because I could not purchase it as it was awaiting some passenger air bag part. Anyway, it was cool, in a very jeep like way. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but the 23 D90s I got instead, just blows it away for daily use. Street presence also takes a dump on the bronco. I feel like the bronco would be amazing in the 20-30k price range tops. Just my opinion. The D90 drives so smooth. You wont be disappointed. I will say this though, if off road is your priority, then the bronco is probably the smarter move.

As long as you're willing to give up a few features:
I'm putting this order in today. Beach toy. Leaning heavily to mint because it reminded of an old Series II my family used to have.

I have both a Big Bend 2 Dr.Bronco 2.3L and a 23 D110 P300 on order and I am awaiting delivery. The Bronco was built on 4/15 and has fallen into the infamous Ford On Hold In Production hellscape. Current delivery estimate is June 18, about which I am extremely skeptical. My original order was reserved in October, 2020 and ordered in January, 2021.
On the other hand my Defender was built on 5/2, and should be off loading from the Wallenius Car Carrier "Toronto" in the Port of Baltimore today. I expect it to be at the dealer before the end of the month. I ordered the 110 in early February, 2002. So even with a war on their doorstep LR Nitra was able to build and ship my Defender in less than 3 months.
I am undecided about keeping the Bronco at this point. No question about the Defender.

Almost certainly. The Tracker lists it as "Picked", but for what God, a maybe some Ford techs, only know. The Bronco6g forum has pictures of technicians busily installing bits and pieces on trucks sitting in a vast field of the once pristine vehicles. Seems like Ford should be giving a discount based on how many months of "patina" from outside storage they added to the things..
