Switching from X to V8

Switching from X to V8
I was originally torn between the 110 X and the V8, but I didn't want to deal with paying over sticker for the V8 (was able to get the X @ MSRP) or waiting close to a year for an order. So, I placed an order for a 110X in October, and it is scheduled to be delivered by the end of February. But, I haven't been able to completely shake the idea of the V8, and have been keeping an eye on the inventory in my area. I know I would be happy with the X, but I figured if the perfect V8 popped up at a good price, I'd take a look. Well, this week I found a Yulong White (2nd favorite color) V8 in stock and advertised at MSRP. I had a couple conversations with the sales manager, and will be taking a look at the truck tomorrow. I'm feeling pretty certain I'll move forward with this one and cancel the order for the X.
The only negatives with the V8 is that there are a few small options I wouldn't have chosen, like rear seat convenience pack, spare wheel cover and black 22" wheels. But, I figure it will be pretty easy to swap for grey 20" wheels and just remove or sell the other parts. However, a positive with the V8 is that it DOES have all the USB-C ports and the 700W surround sound system.

I have a 110X that I purchased 3 months ago. Should be closing a deal on a YW V8 this week. I have wanted a V8 since I bought my D90XD last year. I wasn’t willing to pay a premium but when one came up at MSRP I could not shake the desire. I will report back once the deal is done with my thoughts.
The X is a very nice ride. The V8 I have to imagine is even better.

I was very impressed with the P400 when I test drove one. I was coming out of a Jeep Gladiator, so the P400 had plenty of power. But, the V8..... is a V8. I just sold my wife's Range Rover Sport supercharged, so it will be nice to have one V8 back in the house. My only concern is that since she misses the power of her RR, she'll be wanting to use the Defender a bunch.
And good news on this truck - I confirmed it does have the surround sound, all USB's and TWO keys. Oddly, they had another white V8 that had no USB's, but it did have the sunglass holder. Go figure. Both trucks came in about the same time.

I was in the same dilemma this week after test driving the 110 V8 - its raw power and sound is enough to drive anyone to part with $120K - however, 9mpg? Not a chance. I went with a 23.5MY P400X - I already have a 21MY 110 P400SE and the engine is more than poky enough for me - without trying to race every Durango that wants a bite......
