Sadly top speed is only 40mph that makes it a hard pass

over 40MPH with nothing but skidding to a stop as brakes is scary enough

Meh... I was always told brakes were optional... and I have some old snow anchors I can always toss out there to grind to a halt

I've seen a few rigs on tracks around here. Bloody marvelous looking things. Usually pretty old Toyotas I think. Looking longingly from a far so not sure. Old and rusty but looking the bee's knees.

Makes me wish I hadn't gone to all that trouble converting to 18" rims. Having serious track envy over here.

Well, although those treads really are a thing for Toyotas and Jeeps, Newdefendermods isn’t making them for Defenders. Carscoops forgot to check the date of the post.

The Land Rover Cuthbertson is back

lt wasn't a success the first time, but a good effort nonetheless

Yep. That's why I had this

But they published it 4 days later with so many additional details. The real dead giveaway is the Defender itself. We can't back up with the door open without it throwing a fit. How would a mod like this not trip every fault code in the book?

lt's actually been done for real in the past, many years ago.

Google "Land Rover Cuthbertson"

Oh, for sure, just not with all the electronic nannies. Would be seriously impressed if someone could actually make this work on a 663.
