Actually, it wasn’t. It was whether LR would consider behaving like other manufacturers and offer a dealer tune option or engage with the piggyback tuning folks for the benefit of their customers.

Then what was the relevance of the comment about lame enforcers?

been awhile since you had the tube installed. are you still happy with the system? Any check engine lights so far. about to pull the trigger but hesitate as they don’t ship to my state.

I highly recommend this mod. It was an easy tool-less install, although one of the sensors is tricky to access. They claim an increase in MPG with HP gain, coming from the modified Diesel truck world this is a new experience for me. So I agree with their increase in HP claims, guessing I’m around 450 now plenty for me. It was easy to find a location to mount. If you go on their website and they don’t show one for our P400 application email them, they have one.

I'm very happy, no check engine lights. Others who posted expected a huge gain in HP, 60HP is only an increase of 15% so don't expect to be able to do burn outs.

i have similar piggy back tunes on other more performance oriented cars and had seen larger increases in power but not expecting the same results

are there different maps you can choose from?

This new yet to arrive Defender could be the slowest in our stable given its weight and power. The P400 I test drove had plenty of power around town but I need passing power for that rental RV or chip truck in the short passing zone.

Any owners with the TDI Tune on a P400 with feedback on extra juice at highway speeds?

Like DefXBill I've tuned many diesel trucks and other cars but this is a straight six with a turbo, supercharger and a mild hybrid? This should be fun. Thanks

@anotherbillcat
I had the device for a while. I wanted to like it. Couldn't - as much as I have tried.
There are faint changes between the 1-7 but I could never notice this device being a "booster" or economical.
Not sure if I got a dud, or something else is going on. Basically I could not find a reason to keep it.
Depending on your expectations it may be good, or .... not.
I do believe that the vehicle is good enough to do its thing without this gadget. But this is just me.

i have one on it’s way but it had to be shipped to another state and then back to me in CA. so it will be another week before it’s in my hands

the p400 in stock form is definitely sufficient and really haven’t found too many times where i “needed”more power. I like to tinker and the “want” has got to me making the decision to purchase

if i had the chance i would of went with a v8 to start with. The v8 was not released yet when i purchased the p400 but times are different now and i wouldn’t pay over sticker for anything.

i have been considering the possible SVR version with the new bmw V8 and i have lots of experience with that engine. my only concern with Land Rover and their higher output engines is the loss of utility and function. They focus those cars as powerful road SUV which i feel there are better options out there. I enjoy the ruggedness of the Defender

Thanks for the info, appreciate it. 1-7 is a lot of different modes to spread from stock to 60hp.... I could see 3 maybe 4. Anyway for $400 or whatever it is its worth a shot.
